Improper truck maintenance can have catastrophic consequences

The commercial trucking industry is an important part of our economy, especially during this time of year. Although this industry has made our lives more convenient, it also comes with dangers. When carrying full cargo in an 18-wheeler, safe driving should be the top priority. Unfortunately, because transportation companies have tight schedules and cost concerns, safety precautions can be left behind when the driver hits the road. But regulations and laws exist to promote safe driving and hiring practices. Middle River man killed in truck crash on Route 309

A truck accident is usually more complex and more likely to cause serious injuries than a car accident. A recent semi truck accident shows how these factors can combine to cause a deadly crash. A 61-year-old Middle River man was killed after an accident on Feb. 1 at 11:15 p.m., according to Maryland State Police. The crash occurred in Queen Anne as the man was driving a Ford
