Fireworks injuries have East Coast authorities revisiting laws

As is the case every July 4th holiday, a slew of injuries resulting from fireworks are making the rounds in the Maryland media. Last week three children and several others were injured in various accidents involving fireworks in one state. Glen Burnie senior injured when wheel chair starts on fire

Officials at the Anne Arundel County Fire Department reported that a fire broke out early Sunday morning at a Glen Burnie, Maryland, senior citizens midrise complex on Crain Highway. The senior escaped serious injury when the wheelchair he was sitting in caught fire and filled the first floor of the complex with smoke.
