Although car accidents are one of the leading causes of death in this country, it is always a shock when it happens to someone you know and love. Earlier this month six people were injured when an SUV crashed into the rear of another SUV causing one of the vehicles to overturn and eject two people. A workplace accident has resulted in the death of an 18-year-old Smithsburg High School student last week. According to reports, the senior was riding atop some garbage bags in the back of a four-wheel-drive vehicle while working for the Hagerstown Suns at the Municipal Stadium. When the driver attempted a left-hand turn the student fell from the vehicle sustaining a head injury. Another person was riding in the front seat of the vehicle.
