A workplace accident has resulted in the death of an 18-year-old Smithsburg High School student last week. According to reports, the senior was riding atop some garbage bags in the back of a four-wheel-drive vehicle while working for the Hagerstown Suns at the Municipal Stadium. When the driver attempted a left-hand turn the student fell from the vehicle sustaining a head injury. Another person was riding in the front seat of the vehicle.
