The commercial trucking industry is an important part of our economy, especially during this time of year. Although this industry has made our lives more convenient, it also comes with dangers. Many of these dangers are averted when commercial carriers follow the regulations that are designed to help reduce the risk of trucking accidents. A failure to do so can have tragic consequences. Maintenance gone wrong One such failure involves a lack of proper maintenance. Improper maintenance can impact a vehicle in many ways. For example, a recent article in

As anyone who has been on a highway already knows, large commercial vehicles pose a significant danger to other motorists. When carrying full cargo in an 18-wheeler, safe driving should be the top priority. Unfortunately, because transportation companies have tight schedules and cost concerns, safety precautions can be left behind when the driver hits the road. But regulations and laws exist to promote safe driving and hiring practices. For example, if a transportation company hires a driver who is not properly licensed or otherwise clearly a danger to others, that

A truck accident is usually more complex and more likely to cause serious injuries than a car accident. A truck’s larger size also means that it is more likely to involve more than one vehicle, especially in dense traffic and poor weather. A recent semi truck accident shows how these factors can combine to cause a deadly crash. A 61-year-old Middle River man was killed after an accident on Feb. 1 at 11:15 p.m., according to Maryland State Police. The crash occurred in Queen Anne as the man was driving a Ford

The collision occurred when the 87-year-old driver of the Ford Ranger pickup truck reportedly

Anything can happen during a traffic accident, particularly when multiple vehicles are involved. There are so many factors that can contribute to the severity of the collision that makes it difficult to predict how bad the accident will be and how serious the injuries the parties involved might sustain. In addition to property damage and bodily injury, sometimes car accidents can turn into something only seen in the movies. A multi-car accident on southbound I-95 caused a vehicle to temporarily dangle over the edge of the overpass. According a Maryland
