Fatal car accidents often require an extensive investigation to determine exactly what happened. A reconstruction of the crash can reveal whether efforts were made by drivers to avoid a collision. If one of the drivers appears to have made no such effort, then he or she could be found liable for negligence. Such an accident reconstruction was initiated after a recent crash in Carroll County. The car-bus collision occurred on Feb. 11 and claimed the life of a math teacher who worked at Manchester Valley High School. According to reports, the 24-year-old

A truck accident is usually more complex and more likely to cause serious injuries than a car accident. A truck’s larger size also means that it is more likely to involve more than one vehicle, especially in dense traffic and poor weather. A recent semi truck accident shows how these factors can combine to cause a deadly crash. A 61-year-old Middle River man was killed after an accident on Feb. 1 at 11:15 p.m., according to Maryland State Police. The crash occurred in Queen Anne as the man was driving a Ford

There is no way to predict exactly when mishaps will occur on the highways, as any number of factors could contribute to serious truck accidents. Whether they involve a single truck or multiple vehicles, such accidents often could be avoided if drivers acted responsibly behind the wheel. An elderly man driving on the Capital Beltway on the evening of Dec. 27, 2012, was involved in a fatal accident in which he and his two passengers were killed. The collision occurred when the 87-year-old driver of the Ford Ranger pickup truck reportedly

Determining the cause of collision is an important part of the accident investigation. Not only does it provide those involved in the accident an explanation of what occurred, it can help identify who is liable for paying medical expenses, pain and suffering, and other damages that may result. Unfortunately, not all accidents that occur in Maryland provide clues that make it easy to figure out what happened. In some extreme cases it can be difficult to determine if driver error was at fault or did a defective automobile or part

The three-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 in Pulaski County kept closed down that portion of the highway for close to eight hours, according to the newspaper report. When someone is a passenger in a vehicle, that passenger is putting his or her safety in the hands of another, assuming that driver will drive safely and without incident. That was not the case after a car crashed into a tree on Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase Village, killing a female passenger and injuring the male driver. The car crashed into the tree a little before noon last Wednesday on the southbound lanes of Maryland State Route 185, also called Connecticut Avenue, near Irving Street, according to Montgomery County
